Defragmentation

When a defragmentation is performed, it is physically organizing the hard drive allowing the end user to find specific files faster in the search bar and the response time is much faster. A fragmentation should be performed once every –other week..

To run a defragment on your computer, please click on start then click on computer.

Now right-click on C: then select properties.

Under the “Tools” tab, click on “Defragment now…”

Now click on drive C: and then click on "Analyze Disk".

If more than 10% is fragmented, run a fragmentation.

(If less than 10%, stop here.)

Now click on “Defragment disk” in the lower right corner.

Let it run its course.

Once completed, you’re set to go.
